We had so much fun shooting this look, and I attribute that to the beautiful bright colours.
This dress is probably one of the easiest pieces in my closet, because I can just throw it on with a cute necklace and some shoes, and I'm ready to go! (Perfect for days when I'm half asleep getting dressed.)
I found this dress on a Gap sale rack a few years ago, and I'm so glad I bought it because it continues to be a staple in my wardrobe. A solid colour shift dress is always a great buy, because you can update it with different accessories, and it will always be in style. This silhouette also works really well with flat shoes, which is great for those of us who need a break from heels every now and then!
This particular day, I styled the dress with a colourful statement necklace, bright blue suede flats, and a neutral leather bag. But, if I wanted to use a bag with a bright colour or pattern instead, I would let that be my main accessory and choose a more toned-down necklace and shoe.
