As I'm sure you have noticed, I am not a natural blonde (pause for reaction). I have been dying my hair many different colours - both at home and professionally - for years. There are many differing opinions out there about whether or not the products you use have a great impact on your hair quality. Well, I am here to tell you they do!
My hair has been through the ringer. Stylists are often shocked by my hair's history, because it appears to be so healthy. I attribute this to two things - the first: I wash my hair once or twice per week, when it needs it. And the second: great hair products.
I recently had the opportunity to take the Elixir Ultime collection from Kérastase out for a spin, and these were my results!
Masque - The in-shower masque treatment is amazingly hydrating. It's thick, but not heavy, and a little goes a long way. Use after shampoo, leave on for 5 minutes and rinse to provide an intense dose of hydration.
Crème Fine - Kérastase calls it "day cream for hair". This lightweight formula not only smells amazing, but provides the perfect foundation for drying & styling. Apply a tiny amount to damp hair, style, and apply again. It seals in moisture and keeps locks smooth. You will be addicted!
Imperial Tea - An amazing leave-in oil treatment you can use on wet or dry hair! It is infused with Oléo-Complexe and Imperial Tea, and is super lightweight and gentle. I use it to seal in the moisture after styling, and it leaves my hair looking glossy and strong all day!
Serum Solide - A solid oil serum, this product is one of my new faves. Perfect for those stubborn bits (I'm looking at you split-ends!) that need a little extra love. It melts instantly in your fingers to easily touch-up your tresses, and protects & regenerates at the same time.
After using the collection only once, I noticed a dramatic change in my hair. I typically have a few split ends kicking around, and they completely disappeared. My hair was thick, soft, and shiny - the healthiest it has looked in years! And the best part is, the products didn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy. I would highly recommend Elixir Ultime to those with colour-treated or damaged hair. I can't wait to see how my hair quality improves over time!
