the new white tee
I'm pretty obsessed with white tees. They are one of the most basic pieces of clothing, and I think they are often overlooked. But when you're having one of those "nothing to wear" moments - there is nothing better than a crisp, white t-shirt.
The knotted or twist-front tee is the new classic. This one is from Wilfred (and comes in 12 colours - #yasqueen), but I have linked a ton of other options below. The knotted style is a great option if you aren't into tucking your shirts because it eliminates any bagginess, and in cropped styles like this one, it accentuates your waist.
This is a great trend for anyone to try, but if the whole crop top thing freaks you out - don't worry! Pair it with some high-waisted jeans or a sleek pencil skirt, and you're good to go. I personally am a little self conscious about my post-baby belly button area (it stretched out quite a bit with pregnancy), but I make sure my jeans fit well, aka not too tight, and that way nothing hangs out. The idea is to show a little skin, not a lot!
I styled the tee with my all time favourite Citizens of Humanity jeans, which I absolutely swear by. I've had them for years and they've held their shape so well. Plus they are high-rise and cropped, which is the most flattering cut in my opinion! They are linked below for your perusal.
I finished the look with these classic Steve Madden sandals, which I also recommend 'cause they're super comfy. Plus they match everything and are a super easy way to elevate your look!
What do you think about the knotted tee? Will you be rocking this trend? Let me know! :)
